The WCC has ongoing opportunities for Christians to serve as instruments of God’s peace. Some volunteer positions require training, which we provide. Others rely on your experience and giftings. All are essential to what God is doing in the lives of people who come through our doors.
Center Volunteer Positions, 5.5 hours per week, enable us to provide quality professional services at no cost to our clients. Our available positions vary throughout the year and include the following opportunities: client advocate, facilitator for any of the following programs: Earn While You Learn (parenting), Financial Peace University, shame free parenting, healthy relationships class, finding peace and happiness class, steps to sexual health class; coordinator for material donations, fundraising event, walk for life; grant writer, graphic design assistant, administrative assistant, men’s program leader, promotion/advertising through social media; abortion recovery group co-leaders, abstinence education presenters, and nurses (must hold current RN license). Focus Volunteers, as needed, will join us for specific needs, including activities such as assembling and preparing mailers; public speaking engagements, working an event or fundraiser; providing facility maintenance or landscaping, hosting a baby shower for the WCC or for a specific client; knitting baby booties; crocheting baby blankets; participating in small group mission projects, and more. WCC Advocates, annual supporters, serve as advocates of the WCC ministry to their group, organization, church or business. Advocates have opportunity to attend an annual meeting for training and are in charge of facilitating how their group/organization will partner in the WCC ministry for the year. Contact Phyllis Williams, Executive Director, to arrange a special project with the WCC for your family, group, church, youth group or organization. This can be a one-time event to offer support to the WCC. Coffee and dessert promotional events, diaper drives, baby showers, bake sales, car washes, work projects (mailers, cleaning days, assembling layettes for new moms, etc.), tours and testimonies at the WCC centers, walkathon, and more.
